The story of Global Vipassana Pagoda

Global Vipassana Pagoda, a Buddhist religious centre - place of worship & meditation with a capacity to seat of 8,000 devotees and Vipassana practitioners, is the world's largest stone dome that built without any supporting pillars, situated near Gorai village, next to Essel World, nestled away from the  hustle and bustle of the city & situated amidst the greenery. It is a symbolic of Universal message of peace.
Planning for the construction of the Global Vipassana Pagoda began in 1997, while actual building work started in 2000. It consists of three sub-domes. Its traditional Burmese design is an expression of gratitude towards the country of Myanmar for preserving the practice of Vipassana.
They have an app, do download it and take an audio guide to get knowledge about each and every part of pagoda. The place is well maintained, good security and polite helpers around to guide you.
